THE RESTORATIVE OIL AND WHY YOU NEED IT

We feel there is a stigma around oil and it not being suitable for all skin types so we’ve written a blog on the Restorative Oil and why you need it. It’s all about choosing the right oil! Oil is a lipophilic, meaning it penetrates deep into the layers of the skin. Our Restorative Oil is a god send for a vibrant and flawless complexion, it glides onto the skin without leaving a ‘greasy’ feel.

Fun fact for you….an oily skin type can be due to being dehydrated, which in turn means the skin can go into overproduction mode. The key is to finding an oil that feels light on the skin and doesn’t block your pores. We have three super star ingredients in the Cosmology Restorative Oil; Rosehip Oil, Vitamin E & Jojoba Oil. We’ve broken them down for you below!

ROSEHIP OIL

We love Rosehip Oil! It has loads of vitamins, antioxidants and essential fatty acids which work really well for dull and acne prone skin. The oil comes from the Rosehip Seed, which is filled with linoleic, alpha-linolenic, and oleic acid making it the perfect inflammatory for skin.

VITAMIN E

Our bestie, Vitamin E. We are huge advocates for this vitamin as it is really beneficial for hyperpigmentation. So if you spend lots of time in the sun then you need Vitamin E in your life. It also slows down the process of ageing (who doesn’t want this), works for dry skin and is amazing for removing dirt from our pores.

JOJOBA OIL

Coming from the seed of the Simmondsia Chinensis plant, Jojoba oil has the ability to mimic the skin’s natural oil, convincing the body it is producing enough oil and then in turn balancing the levels out. Rest assured that Jojoba Oil will not clog your pores! We love this secret weapon in our Restorative Oil.

Mix all three of these incredible ingredients together and you have our Restorative Oil. Apply in the evening and sleep while this product absorbs into your skin waking up to restored, hydrated and plumped skin.
