Meet the founder of Cosmology – Gabrielle
You know you’re lucky when the woman you work for is not only a boss lady but the kindest soul in town. Generosity should be her middle name. Gabrielle is the founder of Cosmology Skincare, owner of GC Skin Boutique, mother and wife. She is possibly the busiest person we know, but somehow she gets it all done so gracefully. She is a mentor to her employee’s and also a friend. We sat down with Gab to talk about the journey that has been Cosmology, the reason and the research and the long road to getting it off the ground.
Your background is in beauty, and you own a clinic, why Cosmology?
When I was a teenager I suffered severe acne, not just on my face but also on my body and this impacted my self esteem extremely. I wanted to wear make up every day to cover up my acne and I just remember the lack of education that was around when I was a teenager. This encouraged me to want to learn more about skin and help others feel confident within their own skin too.
I still remember it like it was yesterday, I was studying my Graduate Diploma in Cosmetic Dermal Science and I remember learning about formulations and ingredients; that was the point that I knew in myself this was something I wanted to do, I wanted to create my own skincare to provide my clients with high quality ingredients I knew would work.
I see every day women of all ages with problematic skin, teenagers with acne, middle aged with hormonal breakouts, mature skin with years and years of sun damage and I wanted to provide a skincare product that I was 100% satisfied that my client is going to see results and rewind back the clock on their age.
Skincare has a huge influence on someone’s results and my dream has always been to help others and there is nothing more rewarding then to see a client feeling more confident within them self and just purely because their skin is glowing.
How long had Cosmology been in the making?
The idea of Cosmology came in 2018 and took a total of 2.5 years to complete from the planning, developing and designing. It definitely took longer then I expected and hoped for but I wanted it to be absolutely perfect and still to reflect a little of me. I would never recommend a product I wasn’t completely confident with.

Cosmology is based in Coolangatta Qld (Southern Gold Coast)
What does good skincare look like to you?
Good skincare to me is a product that is free of all harsh chemicals, no preservatives, no fancy packaging and just pure ingredients. I am a big believer that when you have a high quality product everything around it will be of high quality.
You have amazing skin, obviously, what are your secrets or skincare hacks?
Good skin comes with commitment like anything else when you are consistent you see results.
I am religious with my skin care regime and will barely miss a step in my routine. I will always double cleanse and I find this is such an easy thing that can improve anyone’s skin but this is something a lot of people don’t do. The first cleanse is removing anything from the surface but that second cleanse is what cleanses the pores.
I am a little biased and with out a doubt will apply my Active A serum every night. Vitamin A is a crucial ingredient in anyone’s skincare regime as this powerhouse ingredient helps to get your skin cells functioning normal and repairing any damaged cells so it is AMAZING for anti-ageing and I am a big lover of an oil. This is why the restorative oil was created, a factor in fine lines developing is actually from skin being dehydrated so get that oil onto your skin at night.
1 last important factor to healthy skin is SLEEP, I know with new time mums etc this can sometimes be difficult but sleep definitely impacts how your skin is and with a good night sleep everyone knows how much better you can look the next day.
Just a little Tip: Your skin naturally regenerates itself at night; so always choose your night time skincare routine carefully to maximise your results.
What is in the future for Cosmology?
Of course I dream of Cosmology being a leading skincare brand but I stand behind my beliefs in providing education and would love to have a platform to educate every individual on skin and skincare so that could be something for the future.
