Skincare Tips & Advice
We are always here to help and if you are starting your skin regime, these tips are for you.
Lets start with the basics and make it simple so you don’t get overwhelmed with a routine that will be so beneficial for your skin and self-esteem.
1st Cleanser – Mandatory for any skincare routine, this part is essential to clear skin from dirt, bacteria, sunscreen, make-up and dead skin cells. Cleansing the skin also allows the skincare products that follow this step to be applied and deeply absorbed.
2nd Exfoliant – Every single person should exfoliate to remove dead skin cells, unclog pores, preventing the skin from, acne, blackheads, dullness and flaky skin. This should be done twice a week only, especially if you are just starting.
3rd Serum – A wide range of serums have different purposes depending on its ingredients. There are options to rejuvenate, hydrate, resurface, brighten, and calm inflammation, as many others. In case you are looking to improve something specific in your skin, the use of the active ingredients contained in serums can be a really important part of your skincare regime.
4th Moisturiser – This product will provide hydration and lock moisture into your skin. Moisturisers can have more properties depending on the ingredients, as plumping or even UV blocking. It is also important to remember that the correct product texture is a must, for when the product is too rich for your skin it can clog your pores and cause reactions, or if is too light your moisturiser won’t be enough to provide the results you are after.
5th Sunscreen – Nowadays because of the UVAs and UVBs it is mandatory to apply sunscreen after your moisturiser, applying a sunscreen daily will avoid age spots, hyper pigmentation and other skin issues.
6th Eye Cream – The skin around your eye area is completely different than the rest of your face. You can be someone who suffers from oily skin but your eyes are dehydrated. Due to the skin under the eyes being thinner it requires a moisturiser that has a smaller molecule to allow the product to be absorbed into the skin and achieving the maximum results. A normal facial moisturiser is too thick for this area and will sit on the surface of the skin until rinsed off.
The steps above are the basics for any skin care routine. However if you need to pick a limited number to start with our first recommendations are a cleanser, moisturiser and a SPF to begin with. This is your starting point to great skin.
